Hey Folks, it’s National Pie Day, and these two Huskies, Django and Mascoutah just love pie.

Time to get out that baking dish and fill it with all things hot and bubbly and delicious.  We are planning a savory Shepherd’s Pie with ground turkey, onions, garlic, cannellini beans, mushrooms and spices.

Incidentally, NPD is not to be confused with National Pi Day.  National Pi Day on 14 March celebrates the significant digits 3-1-4.  Surely there is a recipe for Pi Day that includes 3 parts, 1 part and 4 parts of something.  Perhaps a Tasteful Beverage?
